Membership FAQ

What is membership

We do not sell tickets to Octocon. Instead we sell membership in our convention.

If you are a member of Octocon you are entitled to attend any event that we are running.

While all events will be open to all members; some events may be limited to the number of people who can attend. When that is the case, we will operate a first come first served sign up system.

In the case where an event has an additional cost, due to extra materials or similar, that cost will need to be paid when you sign up for the event.

What it gets you

Once you become a member you will have the right to access the public areas of the convention. That is the panel rooms, the dealers rooms and the convention bars, such access will be limited by local laws where relevent.

By becoming a member in advance of the event, you will also be kept informed about what is going on at the event, and have the oppurtunity to shape what happens at Octocon

How much It costs

An attending membership currently costs €30, we also offer a Concession rate of €20 for students, pensioners, and benefit qualified individuals. Proof will be required at the event, and concessionary status must apply during the event.

Children under the age of 12 will be entitled to free membership, but must be accompianed by a guardian.

The Costs of membership will continue to change as the year goes on.
